Hi, my name is Viv, this is my husband, Mike. We’ve been a client of White Stone Financial Planning for around three and a half years, and we’re looked after by Matt.

Initially, we got in touch with Matt because Mike retired earlier than expected, and we realised we didn’t have enough knowledge to sort our finances going forward, so we went to somebody who we thought would be able to help us.

Mike
It was a matter of getting all the finances in order and understanding tax implications, when to take sums of money, when not to, and, with all the problems that most people face that you’ve not faced before, you need guidance to get you through that time.

Viv
A friend recommended Matt and the company he worked with. We got on very well with Matt, and when he decided to set up White Stone, we wanted to go along with him.

We chose Matt because we feel that he’s really got to know us on a personal level. He’s worked out our personalities quite well. He asks the right questions, and he understands us, so, going forward, it was an easy decision to stay with him.

Mike
I feel very confident that Matt knows what we need out of life. He’s guided us and allowed us to make decisions with recommendations, and as far as the future is concerned, I’m happy with the way that we’re going.

Viv
The best advice he’s given is that we can afford to do the things we want to do. If we’re unsure, we can approach him, and he’s always said to us, “yes, you can afford to do this”, and it gives us the confidence to do it, whereas without his advice, we probably wouldn’t do the things we wanted.

Mike
When I think of Matt as our financial adviser, I think that he’s very approachable, trustworthy, and very confident in his advice.

The other thing that I find really useful is the annual review when we get together – at home, which is also pleasant and useful – and go through what’s been happening over the past 12 months and project forward, I find that very useful.

One of the best things about working with Matt is that we feel confident going forward. We know where we stand in terms of our finances, and also Mike doesn’t have to worry about looking after finances himself. To have a professional do it is such a relief for us both, and we’re very confident with him.

I’d definitely recommend Matt and White Stone. He’s given us such peace of mind, and he’s very professional with what he’s doing. He really looks at your finances and works everything out for you, and we really would recommend him.
